A crucial aspect of this is our Accident and Incident reporting mechanism, especially given the range of operations and sites the Group could be supporting and managing at any given time. Every 3sun Group employee has access to a Near Miss book for logging accidents, incidents and near misses in. These must be reported to the QHSE department, who are also constantly available for support and operate an open door policy.
Once reported, these actions are logged and categorised through the company intranet system, actions are raised and tracked accordingly. This ensures all incidents are treated with due attention and resource, assessing its root cause and learning to reduce future lost time.
Monthly reports to the board are produced enforcing a rigorous Health & Safety conscious mentality through the Group. Awareness of incidents throughout the Group is achieved through proactive reporting, communicating best practice and lessons learned.
